We all have our own favorite characters and the actors who play them. However, when an actor becomes popular for a certain character, their opportunities shrink as they get typecast. Recently, TV actress Rinku Dhawan, known for starring in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Anupamaa, and many other hit shows, addressed being typecast in the industry and asked that her talent not be overlooked.

On October 19, 2026, Rinku posted a note on her Instagram, saying she is being typecast in the industry even after 30 years in the business. The actress wrote, “Hello… this is Rinku Dhawan. A thought that has been on my mind for a long time. I am an Actor. Please don’t typecast me. I didn’t start my career as an Actor in a negative role/grey shade.”

She further requested, “If I have been a part of this Amazing Industry for 30 years, it is because of the skill, the talent… Please don’t take that away from me by Typecasting me.”

Accompanying the statement, her caption read, “#actor # versatility #actorslife #talent #proudactor.”
