The episode of Anupamaa starts with Dr Advait doing laughter therapy with the Shah family. Anupamaa tells Baa that she looks beautiful while laughing, Baa says her jaw is paining. She says she wants to have a herbal concoction. Vanraj asks Samar and Nandini to help Anupamaa. They pick up the tray and are confused to see Sanan Ki Sagai written on it. Baa ask what’s all this. Vanraj says it’s Anupamaa’s wish to have Samar and Nandini’s engagement program in this hotel. Samar says he can’t get engaged when mummy is in such a condition. Vanraj says it will make Anupamaa happy. Baa says Nandini is Kavya’s niece and what if the relationship gets entangled. Anupamaa says that ropes get entangled when left freely, here we will be tying the knot. She says that she will drop the idea if Baa doesn’t agree. Baa smiles and says she was joking, Aupamaa gets happy. Samar and Nandini touch her feet for blessings.
Nandini goes out, Anupamaa says she got shy. Samar goes to her and asks why she came out. She says they need to tell his family what she wrote in the diary, she can’t hide it. He says they can’t give stress to mummy so should keep it a secret for some time. Vanraj asks Anupamaa about the engagement preparation. She tells him all the preparation she and Baa made. She says this cottage has become like their house now. He asks if she remembers something looking at the cottage. Anupamaa says it reminds her of Kundan kaka’s house where they spent three days after marriage. They remember the former moments of their life and laugh together. Vanraj says that their relationship is unique and there is something between them. Anupamaa says she wants her son’s engagement to go well, he says it will.
Advait helps Baa and Anupamaa prepare laddus. Anupamaa asks Advait when will the reports from the senior doctor come, he asks if she considers him a junior doctor. He tells her to listen to the junior doctor and keep worries away. Anupamaa laughs. Advait says this laugh is pure than the laugh from laughter class. Baa says her son is getting engaged that’s why. Advait jokes around, Anupamaa praises him for being a good person. Nandini informs Kavya about her engagement, Kavya frowns. She apologizes for her reaction and says it was because of her ill fate. Kavya says that she is happy with Nandini’s relationship and always will support her. She hands her bridal lehnga to Nandini and says that she wants to be happy for other people, but it hurts her inside. Nandini says that Vanraj is with Anupamaa because of her illness, Kavya says would he come to me if I was ill. And goes away.
Samar gets Anupamaa’s medicine and tells Vanraj that they have to keep Anupamaa stress-free to control her illness. Vanraj says that the engagement program will make her happy. He then gets a call from the lawyer saying that his divorce date is in two days. Vanraj asks to postpone as he is out of Ahmedabad. The lawyer says that the next date may take one year if they postpone. Vanraj says he doesn’t care if it takes ten years as he doesn’t want a divorce now.
