Snack manufacturers frequently add something unusual or extra in their packets to enhance sales, such as a distinctive ingredient, flavor, or toy. However, a bizarre event occurred recently when a consumer discovered a full potato in a packet of chips instead of the snack. That’s correct; you read it correctly.

Dr. David Boyce, a physics instructor from the United Kingdom, was taken aback when his packet contained a half-peeled raw potato instead of chips.

He shared a photo of the bizarre snack pack on Twitter with the caption “So I opened a bag of Kettle Chips UK today to find no crisps. Just a whole potato.” Needless to say, the failed tale went viral quickly.

The image depicts a bag of Kettle Chips UK Mature Cheddar and Red Onion flavored chips. In the shot, the man is seen holding a solitary potato in front of the packaging. He was both hungry and astonished by the unexpected yet interesting discovery.

The snapshot went popular on social media, receiving over 500 likes and a wide range of responses from internet users. Kettle Chips, a food company, even responded, inviting the person to send them a direct message.

“Not sure how that got in there! Do you mind sending us a DM so we can gather some details and ask our team to look into this?” The firm expressed its opinion.

“Yeah, I still have it! It was completely unexpected. You can have it if you like!” said the disgruntled customer.

“My thoughts went completely blank,” the client told a local television station when he discovered the raw potato instead of thinly cut cooked chips. “How is this even in here? I wondered at first, before thinking, What a champion, this little guy is a survivor – the little potato that refused to be a crisp.”
