Wildlife fights are fierce. These fights are quite unpredictable and can be quite interesting to watch at the same time. A similar fight had occurred between a lioness and a crocodile over the same prey in a viral video.
A lioness and a crocodile locked in a fierce battle were recently caught on camera by wildlife photographers. The user ‘nature27 12’ shared the 1 minute and 11-second video on Instagram. The video has now gone viral with thousands of views.
The fight first begins in a shallow water body where the crocodile is seen tightly clung onto the derr, its prey. Facing it is a fierce lioness who is also eyeing the same prey.
A crocodile was seen battling over its catch with a lioness who was also pursuing the same deer in the footage. As the crocodile sought to reclaim the deer’s body, the lioness clung to it tenaciously. The lioness was successful in dragging the prey out of the water, but the crocodile clung to it. The two predators can then be seen fighting near the water for control of the deer. Neither the crocodile nor the lioness gave up.
As the minute-long video comes to an end neither of the animals gives up on the prey. The video ends as the animals take the fight near a bush adjoining the lake and are eventually out of sight.
