A social media sensation has emerged as a cunning dog outwitting its owner. Several videos have recently appeared online showing people testing their pets’ patience by placing a goodie in front of them and directing them not to eat it. Typically, the films follow a predictable pattern: either the dog waits patiently or he eats the reward without guilt. This isn’t the case.
This ingenious dog defied the odds by getting his cake and eating it as too.
A guy sets a snack next to his cute golden retriever and tells him to wait as he goes out of the room in the video, which was first shared with TikTok. Before hastily devouring the goodie, the dog observes his master walk away.
Then, in a brilliant manoeuvre, he pulls over to the cabinet containing the goodies, opens it, and removes one. The dog then comes up to the table and places the reward on the table before closing the drawer.
The dog’s cunning act has been seen over 3.9 million times since it was published on the Twitter website, garnering hundreds of positive comments.
Some thought that the dog had been trained to accomplish the feat, while others maintained that training didn’t make the stunt any less amazing or humorous.
