INGREDIENTS.

* Finely sliced three onions.

* Half cup besan flour.

* Quarter cup rice flour.

* One teaspoon grated ginger.

* Curry leaves and red chilli powder.

* Baking soda, salt, coriander leaves and oil.

DIRECTIONS.

  • * Take onion, clean it properly and slice it fine and keep it aside.
  • * Take a bowl and add chopped onion in it and smash with hands and try to separate pieces of onion.
  • * Add gram flour, rice flour, ginger, curry leaves, red chilli powder, baking powder, coriander leaves and salt.
  • * Mix well with hands properly and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  • * Add only necessary water and mix in such a way that sliced onion coated well with flour batter. If you put an excessive amount of water then it will become watery, preventing pakora to become crispy.
  • * Put up the flame and heat oil in a pan for deep frying. Take the mixture and start dropping your fritters in the oil and deep fry until they become golden brown.
  • * Take out cooked pakora using a slotted spoon and drain excess oil. Place crispy pakora on a paper towel to remove the remaining excess oil.
