Bored with the same non-veg Hot Dog? Try something old with a new twist. Here is a mouthwatering, yummy and absolutely easy veg hot dog recipe for you.
Ingredients:- 1/2 medium chopped onion, 3-4 cloves of garlic, 3/4 cooked beans, 1/2 cup of water, 2 tbsp coconut aminos, 1 tbsp tomato paste, 2 tbsp smoked paprika, 1 tbsp coriander, 1 tbsp pepper powder, 1/4 tbsp celery seeds, 1/8 tbsp smoked salt[optional], 1 cup wheat gluten, 1/3 cup uncooked oatmeal, 2 tbsp nutritional yeast, 1 tbsp ground flax seeds.
Procedure:- 1. Add the onion and tomato to the grinder and grind properly. Heat a skillet, add onion and garlic and cook for some time. Transfer it back to the grinder.
2. Add coconut aminos, beans, water, tomato paste and other seasonings to the blender. Blend until it turns into a thin paste.
3. Combine Gluten, oatmeal, yeast and flax seeds in a large mixing bowl. Add it to the grinder and grind until combined. Add 1 tbsp water. Knead it in a bowl until a gluten dough is formed.
4. Take 8 pieces of aluminum foil, divide the gluten into 8 pieces and place each on one foil. Roll each piece in your palm and give it a shape of hotdog. Place on foil paper and roll. Roll and twist the ends closed.
5. Give steam to the hot dog for 45-50 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool before unwrapping. Store in refrigerator or fry instantly and serve with ketchup.
