With social distancing and lock downs in place due to corona virus pandemic, some couples have been forced to stay apart. Couples that work in different towns might suddenly fight themselves forced to stay away from each other as cities shut their borders to help curb the spread of corona virus.
Below are some things you can do to help you cope with a long-distance relationship (LDR) during COVID-19 lock down.
1.Communication is key: – You might have the whole LDR Pat before the lock down. You’d call or text each other, talk about your day, etc. Communication can become difficult especially as the days turn into weeks and run out of stories to share.
2. Surprise one another: – You might not be able to visit each other or do those things you used to enjoy together but you can still do little things to remind your partner to how much you love them.
3. Make plans for future: – We might not know when life will get back to normal but it doesn’t hurt to create a bucket list of certain things that you want to do after the lock down is over. Create a visual board together and share your plans for the future.
Isolation doesn’t have a bad thing. Time is quarantine, whether it means spending more time together or less, could be an opportunity to strengthen your relationships.
