The success story of the Varender Singh

Punjabis have a special talent that they can make a name for themselves anywhere in the world with their hard work. Varender Singh is such a prime example, who moved to the USA 22 years ago, achieved success with his photography skills, and made all Punjabis proud. Varender Singh aka Channi Miglani was born in 1972 to his parents Sardar Harpal Singh Miglani and Sardarni Jaswant Kaur in Delhi. After graduating from Khalsa College, Delhi University he set out to seek employment but got no positive results. Coincidentally, his father who at the time was a religion teacher in a Sikh Temple in the USA invited him over. Then he became a permanent resident in the USA after completing a prior successful trip to the country in 1991. He found a job with Circle System Group, a company that manufactured Helmets for football players.

Due to pressure from his parents, Channi left the football repair work and found a new job at the United States Post Office where he worked as a Clerk for one year. He expressed that when the terrorist attack happened on The World Trade Center of America it became very tough to find a job for 3 to 4 months after that. Talking about the same, he said “ One day I received an offer from Cigna Healthcare Insurance Company who hired me as a Machine Operator. After seeing my hard work they made me their permanent employee in 2002 and to date, I’m working with them as a Senior Associate.”

These days he is not only working for Cigna but also known on social media for his photography by his alias name Channi Miglani. Speaking about his interest, Varender Said, “ I use my experiences and understanding of life for creating my portraits. Clicking pictures and then editing them to reflect my inner thoughts about nature, life, an event or a character is my general objective for my audience. All my content takes hours of finding and research. I sometimes get criticism for my photos but I positively take all the love and hate and use it to grow more.”

He further added, “Through my photos, I depict my favorite characters in such a way that my editing skills stand out. I respect this art and am very fond of photo editing. My photos are related to past and current affairs all around the globe. I’m thankful to those who have shown me love and appreciation for my work.”

For Varendar photography is not only a profession to him, but it is a medium through which he could convey his feeling to the audience that appreciated or criticized his work. And, he has been successful in achieving that.
