One of Hollywood’s most dependable leading males is Chris Evans. Although Evans is best known for playing Captain America, a star-spangled hero, he has given lovely performances in a variety of genres. The actor, who is a fan favorite, shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

What’s Your Number? (2011)

Chris Evans Alyson Faris What’s your number?

Although Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) decade-long love affair is legendary, viewers had to wait until 2011 to see Evans dangle his toe in the rom-com pond. Evans co-starred with Anna Faris’ character Ally, who examines her previous relationships because she believes one of them to be her real love.

‘The Iceman’ (2012)

The Iceman, a movie based on real events, depicts the tale of Richard Kuklinski, a man whose wife and daughters had no idea that he was a legendary and feared contract killer. In the major character, Michael Shannon is at his terrifying best, delving farther and further into the shadowy realm of crime until he ultimately encounters Mr. Freezy (Evans)

‘Snowpiercer’ (2013)

Chris Evans began work on Snowpiercer immediately after finishing the first Avengers film (which required them to conceal his beard when they filmed the notorious Shwarma post-credit scene), and the two movies couldn’t be more dissimilar in tone. The film Snowpiercer explores the dark, grim, and occasionally brutal actions that people will take to survive when they are pushed to the brink.

Set in a world where an unsuccessful attempt at climate change resulted in a new ice age that killed everyone but those on the Snowpiercer, a train that is continually traveling. Evans portrays Curtis, a man who instigated an insurrection to protest the oppressive class structure on the train.

Sunshine

Another superb science fiction novel with elements of a psychological thriller is Sunshine. In the basic premise, a crew of astronauts is dispatched on a perilous yet essential trip to revive the fading sun. Among the stellar cast are Cillian Murphy, Rose Byrne, Cliff Curtis, and Chris Evans. Each actor can be seen in their own way. Their chemistry together on screen is fantastic.

Chris Evans received the acting award. Despite his fiery temperament, he gave every decision—including some crucial ones—thought. He is a practical member of the group and is aware that logic is on his side.
