Kalki Koechlin has been one of the most interesting actresses in Bollywood. She’s different from your mainstream actresses and chooses very different and unique projects to showcase her acting skills and we have to admit, she has been killing it in every one of them! This 34-year-old has written, produced and acted in numerous award-winning plays already, and has her own success recipes ready by now.
She has acted in romantic comedies like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and then in the supernatural thriller Daayan, but one simply cannot forget her brilliant performance in Margarita with a Straw, the critically acclaimed movie in which she stole everyone’s heart away with her off-beat performance.
When asked about her career graph, Kalki Koechlin answered, “There are many things I want to change. I feel like I messed up or didn’t do a good job on some films or my accent was not right but I also feel like you’re on a learning curve and if I did a perfect film, I’d probably retire. So it’s kind of good that I’m not getting it right – I want to keep acting till I’m 90!.” Well, that is as honest as they come and we applaud Kalki for admitting that she may not be perfect, but that is the end goal she has and she is working her way towards it! She has received a National Film Award and was even presented with the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government, and that says a lot about this multi-talented actress, who is indeed the flower child of Bollywood.
