Anne Hathaway, whose full name is Anne Jacqueline Hathaway, was born on November 12, 1982, in Brooklyn, New York, the United States. She is an American actress renowned for her breadth, having starred in comedies, tragedies, and fairy tales alike. When Hathaway was six years old, her family relocated from Brooklyn, New York, to the New Jersey suburb of Millburn. Her mother, Kate McCauley, was a theatrical actor, and her father, Gerald, was a lawyer. Hathaway’s mother took her on tour with a performance of the musical Les Misérables when she was a little girl, encouraging her to pursue a career in theatre. When she was 16 years old, she won her first television part on the family drama Get Real after studying with New York’s famed Barrow Group (1999–2000).

At the Cannes Film Festival not so long ago, Anne gave us the ideal wedding guest haircut, and to say that it was a hit with the crowd would be an understatement. But as of late, her most recent haircut might possibly have surpassed the previous one—and I don’t say that lightly. The performers sat for a few photos with Jeremy Strong for a Variety magazine story, and much to my joy this beautiful Thursday morning, Anne posted a handful of the images on her Instagram page. Orlando Pita, the actor’s hairstylist, gave Anne a sky-high quiff that sits to the side to add the most texture and volume to the award-winning actor’s bouncy blowout. A “quiff” may sound a little antiquated and conjure up images of year 9, but trust me, it’s very stylish.
