When talking about the Met Gala, we are talking about all things extra! From extra shimmery dresses to over-the-top humongous gowns, celebs are seen putting their best foot forward for the event. And why shouldn’t they, the Met is one of the most prestigious fashion events that take place across the globe.

After being called off in the year 2020, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the MET this year was back in full swing. And rightly so, the audience had major expectations from their favorite stars after missing the event once. The theme of this year’s MET was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” With various guests in attendance, celebrities were seen looking their absolute best and taking inspiration from every corner of America, from the past to the present.

But what caught the attention of the majority of audiences across the globe, was Kim Kardashian’s all-black outfit. Now, can possibly be wrong about an all-black outfit? It is that Kim was dressed head to toe, literally, in an all-black fit, the only visible part of her body was her 75-inch-long ponytail. The outfit that Kim wore was designed by Balenciaga. Within no time, the outfit became a meme sensation with various different memes floating on the internet.

But what was Kim’s reaction to all of this talk? Kim took to her Instagram to defend herself, wherein she made a post about her look captioning it “What’s more American than a T-shirt head to toe?!”
