Miley Ray Cyrus was raised in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, by Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus. She was born Destiny Hope Cyrus in Franklin, Tennessee, on November 23, 1992. Two half-brothers, one half-sister, and two younger brothers and sisters make up her family of five. Her parents gave her name in the hopes that she would succeed greatly. Due to her upbeat personality, Miley gradually replaced her childhood nickname, Smiley. Ron Cyrus, a politician with the Democratic Party, was her paternal grandfather.

Chris Hemsworth’s younger brother, Luke Hemsworth, is an actor. On January 13, 1990, Liam Hemsworth was born in Melbourne, Australia. He is the son of social services counselor Craig Hemsworth and English teacher Leonie (van Os). He has Irish, English, Scottish, German, and Dutch ancestry (from his immigrant maternal grandfather). By marriage, he was related to Rod Ansell, the bushman who served as the model for Crocodile Dundee (1986).
Before they ended their partnership in August 2019, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s relationship lasted for more than ten years. Fans frequently gushed about the couple’s developing romance and the many sweet experiences they shared over the years as they enjoyed a terrific run together. But there is one “Liley” moment that will live rent-free in our hearts forever: when Cyrus described how and when she first fell deeply in love with Hemsworth.

The Disney Channel alum spoke openly about her then-boyfriend Hemsworth during a 2010 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She and Hemsworth had first met before the start of production on their film The Last Song. The first time Cyrus saw Hemsworth, during his Last Song audition, “he opened the door” for her, and she confessed to DeGeneres that she fell in love with him. However, Cyrus acknowledged in the interview that she wasn’t actively looking for a relationship despite being highly attracted to Hemsworth when they first met.
