Bengali superstar Ritabhari Chakraborty has been receiving praises and rave reviews for her performance in the recently released Fatafati. Fans recently took over social media to trend the actress and show the world her dedication towards her craft with ‘#RitabhariChakraborty’
Ritabhari expressing gratitude shares, “I want to thank the fans for this love. Fatafati was nothing less than a challenge for me but hard work totally pays off and here it is. Based on the journey of an overweight girl wanting to become a fashion designer, Phullora Bhaduri, Ritabhari, took up the challenge to gain the weight for her performance. We have known Ritabhari to go all the way to be the part and get into the skin of the characters she plays. Her attempt to be the part and look the part with no prosthetics or body suit helped her character connect with the audience at a personal level. Having put on the weight, emotions that she portrayed were raw and real, her character. The film has inspired young girls who are healthy, to dream big, and break the conventional moulds and stereotypes which media and fashion having being enforcing and influencing the society.
Ritabhari Chakraborty, for the very first time, paired opposite Abir Chatterjee. The film also has Swastika Dutta, Soma Chakraborty, Raktim Samanta, Arijita Mukhopadhyay, Debosree Ganguly, Sanghasree Sinha, Asmee Ghosh, and Loknath Dey in prominent roles. The film is presented by Nandita Roy, Shiboprosad Mukherjee, and produced by Windows. Fatafati is directed by Aritra Mukherjee. The film released on 12th May, 2023.
