Such is the charm and glamour surrounding the film industry that not many can keep themselves away from the spotlight. Add to that if you are a celebrity actor who’s dating another celebrity, the paparazzi’s attention on you and your partner will never fade away. A great marketing tool for oneself ain’t it?
But do all love stories in Bollywood have a happy ending? Salman Khan & Aishwarya Rai (Now: Bachchan), Amitabh Bachchan & Rekha, John Abraham & Bipasha Basu? These are all classic examples of failed relationships in Bollywood. But no example is bigger than the star couple Dilip Kumar and Madhubala.
Dilip Kumar had revealed about his love for Madhubala and how he got attracted to her on the sets of the 1951 hit ‘Tarana’.
Dilip had revealed that not only was he attracted to Madhubala as a human being but also he found in her some of the attributes he was looking for in a woman. Their chemistry kicked off further in Mughal-E-Azam but apparently, Madhubala’s father made it sour for them when he wanted Dilip’s marriage proposal for Madhubala to turn into a business venture which will benefit both.
Dilip as per reports didn’t like it as he was looking forward to something serious with Madhubala and that’s how this love story ended on a tragic note.
