Korean pop star Rose, a member of the renowned K-pop girl group Blackpink, has been embroiled in false accusations of drug abuse that emerged on social media. The allegations surfaced following a group photo posted by fashion designer Riccardo Tisci on his Instagram account. Despite the baseless claims, Tisci has publicly refuted the rumours by sharing a picture of the same, asserting that it is a luxury art piece.

How the rumours sprawled

A photo posted by fashion designer Riccardo Tisci on his Instagram account, featuring Korean pop star Rosé and actor Kang Dong Won among a group of individuals gathered around a table, has sparked controversy. The image raised suspicion due to the faintly visible presence of a tray in the background, leading speculators to make unfounded allegations of drug abuse against those present. Tisci promptly removed the post after the rumors began to gain traction.

Riccardo Tisci clears the air

On April 19, Riccardo Tisci took to Instagram to debunk the drug abuse allegations that had been leveled against the group in the controversial photo. Tisci shared an image of the tray visible in the photo, clarifying that it was, in reality, a high-end artwork by Katherina Jebb Balthus. The designer accompanied the post with the abbreviation “FYI,”, which means ‘For Your Information’ leaving no room for doubt that the rumors had no basis in reality.
