To start with, tell us a bit about your journey in Bollywood music?

The journey has been really long and we both have had to work really hard. It’s a competitive industry but we are happy that we are able to contribute our way in every big way possible. We are looking forward to expanding even further. Let’s see how things unfold for both of us in the future.

Tell us a bit about your collaboration with Amazon Prime and this song. Why only this project to start with and not others, since we know you were offered web projects earlier too?

Well, we both really feel that Amazon Prime is really good and ahead when it comes to making good content for the web space and it’s a space that’s constantly growing and evolving. They are all known people and they are a great team and hence, when they team came to us with the music requirement, we were like right, let’s do this. And that’s how Dega Jaan eventually happened. It suits the pace of everything.

How did Sachin-Jigar unite in the first place?

Sachin – Well, the credit for the same goes to none other than Amit Trivedi. We have jammed a lot together and learnt a lot from him. He is amazing. We both met because of Amit Trivedi and since our union, we just realized that we are on the same page when it comes to music creation and that’s very important. Yes, like every other musical pair, we took our time to understand each other’s zone but that’s the best thing I believe. Jigar is a truly amazing musician and I feel fortunate that we work together.

What do you think is the difference between composing music for movies and for the web space?

Well, I believe in liberty. Not that in movies we don’t get liberty to have a free hand in music composition. But we feel that the free zone is a little more in the web space at the moment. Can’t say about the future as no one has seen the future. But right now, if you ask us, we feel the liberty and freedom in web space is a little more.

Lastly, are you looking forward to producing more and more music for the entertainment zone?

Oh absolutely. Dega Jaan is a beautiful start to the scheme of things and as music producers, we are open to anything and everything with which we can mutually relate. We would love to create more music for the web platform after Dega Jaan in Amazon Prime’s The Family Man.
