Sanu’s first marriage was to Rita Bhattacharya in the late 1980s, and it, unfortunately, ended with a bitter divorce in 1994 due to Kumar’s involvement with actress Meenakshi Seshadri. Later, Sanu would marry again, and this time it would be one Saloni Bhattacharya who would be his stable companion. What went wrong with the first Bhattacharya – Sanu marriage? Let’s take a look.

During the mid-80s Kumar Sanu married Rita Bhattacharya, they had known one another being from Kolkata. And later he tagged her along with him to Mumbai. The usual merry-go-happy family blessed with two sons. But later, as per reports, he got involved with Kunika Lal and then found himself drawn towards Meenakshi Seshadri, the most beautiful woman during the 90s.

The infamous song Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaaye was sung by Kumar Sanu for the film Jurm where Meenakshi was the actress. But due to his earlier marriage ugly divorce proceedings every got bad and the two love birds were not together for a very long time.

After having cut ties with both Rita and Meenakshi he tied the knot with Bikaner girl, Saloni Bhattacharya. They were also blessed with two girls. With their mother, the two daughters live in London and like father, like daughter the eldest daughter, Shannon had an English music album released in UK, 2014.
