Popular TV actress Shweta Tiwari has once again been betrayed in matters of the heart. As per reports in the media, Shweta’s husband Abhinav Kohli has been arrested for domestic violence, after Shweta filed a police case against him accusing him of domestic violence and for hitting her daughter Palak. Palak is Shweta’s daughter from her first marriage with controversial actor Raja Choudhary.
Shweta has alleged that Abhinav hits her regularly and is always under the influence of alcohol. What has aggravated matters, forcing her to march to the Samata Nagar police station in Kandivali to file a case against her husband was the fact that Abhinav Kohli hit her 17-year-old daughter, Palak, which was too much for the doting mother to take.
According to reports in the media, Abhinav Kohli was arrested late on Sunday evening on charges of domestic violence.
Shweta Tiwari had earlier been married to controversial actor Raja Choudhary, who had a penchant for trouble-making and rowdiness, apart from a non-existent career. Shweta, who was a big name on TV then, courtesy her role of Prerna in the original Kasautii Zindagii Kay, had divorced Raja in 2007. She later married Abhinav Kohli in 2013 after his persistent wooing. Initially, it appeared that Abhinav Kohli was the perfect match for the charming and unassuming Shweta. He painted a picture of loving affection not only towards Shweta, but also towards her daughter Palak, whom he apparently accepted wholeheartedly.
But unfortunately, the pretty actress seems destined to be unlucky in love, for trouble has been brewing in her domestic haven for quite some time, regarding Abhinav Kohli’s wayward ways. Domestic violence is a horrendous thing for any woman to face, least of all a much-loved, down-to-earth actress like Shweta Tiwari.
Palak has grown up to be a pretty young lady, just like her mom, and aspires to make her debut in Bollywood soon.
We hope, for Shweta and Palak’s sake, that matters are resolved quickly and amicably between the couple.
