The episode of Imlie starts with Malini telling Aditya that there was someone else in her life when she was in college. Aditya says how does it matter now. She says that she is somehow still attracted to him and her wedding vows are falling weak before him. She apologises for betraying him. He says she didn’t betray him but life did, he says that he is not angry at her. She tells him that she kept it away from him and asks him not to tell anyone. He holds her hands and says he will not. He tells her that he thought they knew each other well but never told each other what’s in their hearts. She mustered so much courage to come up with this truth, he hopes he can also tell his truth one day. Malini asks what is his truth, he tells her to eat food and goes to get a plate. Malini thinks that lying about having someone else in her life didn’t bother Aditya at all. This means he doesn’t care about her, she cries in pain.
Nishant gets a call from Aditya and tells everyone in the family that they should discuss the problem with him. Aparna says she thinks Imlie is the reason for Aditya and Malini’s problems. Tauji says Imlie can’t be the reason. Imlie hears their conversation and wonders what will happen if they find out she is the reason behind Malini’s suicide attempt. Rupali says they are blaming Imlie because she silently listens. Aparna says that Malini is doubting Imlie. Rupali says they shouldn’t blame Imlie based on doubt, Nishant says she is right. Tauji asks him to call Imlie, she tries to go away but Nishant notices and calls her. Aditya comes in, Rupali looking at him says whoever has created this problem should solve it and takes Imlie.
Pankaj tells Aditya that the situation has gone out of control, they talked to Anu and she doesn’t want Malini to return here. Tauji tells Aditya to start looking after Malini than his job. Aditya says he will do his best but it is up to Malini whether she wants to come back or not. Pankaj says he is not doing a favour by taking care of his wife. Tauji says they shouldn’t forget their responsibility towards Malini and try hard that she returns. Pankaj asks Aditya to think well before making a decision. Aditya thinks when will he tell his truth to Malini. Dev and Anu return, Dadi asks how is Malini and if she will return to her in-laws. Anu says she knows they both want Malini to go back to her in-laws, but she has a condition. Dadi says they will accept her decision. Anu says she will visit the Tripathi’s and put a condition before them if they want Malini in their house. Dev asks what she wants, she says to root out problems from her daughter’s life.
Aditya sees Imlie in the kitchen and asks what she is doing. She says preparing Malini’s favourite dish as she is coming tomorrow. He says that they should tell Malini the truth. Imlie says no woman can see her husband with someone else. Aditya asks her how did she. She says she is afraid, he asks even when he is with her. She says he is afraid more when he is around. Aditya tells her that everyone is blaming her for his mistake, from now on he will stand beside her and not let anything wrong happen to her. Tauji informs everyone that Anu is visiting them. Aparna says they should listen to Anu. Nishant says they should find out what her condition is. Tauji says he hopes Anu doesn’t blame Imlie. Aparna says Imlie can’t stay here forever she will have to return to her mother. Tauji says he will not support this decision. Aparna hopes that Malini returns home.
