The yoga queen Shilpa Shetty is back again to inspire fans. She is considered one of the most popular actresses in Bollywood. The diva is quite serious about yoga and exercise. Time and again, she shares reels, videos, and posts educating the audience about the importance of fitness and yoga. She is said to be a role model for fitness. Even in her 40s, Shilpa Shetty looks fit and fine, looking like nineteen. Yet again, the diva is inspiring fans to do lunges in her new reel post.

Shilpa Shetty shared a reel this morning to inspire fans to do lunges. While the actress herself has not tried doing lunges earlier but as suggested by the fitness trainer, she tried it. And talking about the same, she wrote, “I’m NOT a fan of lunges! No, seriously! So, when I was told to do Reverse Flexed Lunges, I wasn’t keen… thought it would be painful to do, because of my knee injury.”

However, Shilpa Shetty is very courageous and believes that yoga and exercise can help you do wonders. The actress suffered a leg injury a few months back. Even though she thought it wouldn’t be possible for her to do lunges she tried, and it worked out. Also, she made it clear that lunges are not just calories killer but have other benefits for lower body portions. She said, “BUT! It didn’t hurt, in fact, apart from being a calorie-killer, it also works on the major lower body muscles like glutes, quadriceps, and hamstrings.”

Here Are Steps

“1. Keep feet at least 4″ apart

2. Flex the back knee towards the floor, but do not touch the floor

3. Do not initiate the movement by pushing the front leg knee forward

4. All the weight should be on the front leg foot. Push into the heels every time you lunge back

5. Let the torso lean naturally at the hip joint and NOT at the lower back.”

She continued saying, “This routine greatly helps improve balance and is a great Unilateral Exercise to work on individual leg strength, size, and shape. It’s also a great glute-and-leg builder when it comes to shaping and strengthening the lower body.”
