Alexa Demie is an actress, singer, and songwriter best known for her roles in the films Brigsby Bear (2017), Mid90s (2018), and Waves (2019). She played Shairee in Ray Donovan (2013) and Marina in Love (2016) in recurring roles before obtaining the lead role of Maddy Perez in the 2019 television series Euphoria (2019).

Demie, a California native from Los Angeles, started penning poems and songs at the age of twelve. She debuted as an actress in the 2015 short film Miles, a racing adventure (2015). In 2017, she released “Girl Like Me,” her debut single.

She plays Maddy Perez, a high school student with a taste for gorgeous outfits and glittery makeup looks, in the popular HBO series Euphoria, which you surely recognize her from. It’s no surprise that Maddy has evolved into somewhat of a style icon in the past several years with a wardrobe that embodies the eye-catching 2000s fashion trends that Gen Z adores.

However, Alexa’s off-screen looks are also deserving of praise, as evidenced by her most recent excursions with other It-girls, Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber. Although the actress is a huge fan of 1990s fashion, she also incorporates Old Hollywood glamour and Y2K party chic into her street style. Alexa Demie makes it plain that she knows what she’s doing, whether she’s showing off a vintage Louis Vuitton handbag or donning an entire Balenciaga outfit.

Euphoria’s Maddy Perez loves cuts, much like Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid do. (Who can forget the memorable purple co-ord she wore to the carnival in season one?) She could enjoy the cutting-edge dresses by Nensi Dojaka, whose seductive translucent fabric layers give her designs surprising shapes like the one below. You can’t tell, but Maddy’s strappy Amina Muaddi sandals, with their rainbow crystals, add some glitz and color to the ensemble.

Although Alexa lists the 1990s as her main period of fashion inspiration, both she and Maddy frequently wear looks from the 2000s, such as the one she wore with model Bella Hadid. From the denim and leopard print to the designer monogram and the barely-there sandals, it has all the characteristics of a Y2K ensemble. You may avoid the hassle of looking for that antique Louis Vuitton denim handbag below.

Maddy’s prom attire, which included a shimmering chainmail halter neck top, a matching skirt, and a shrug with a feather accent, is one of her most recognizable ensembles from Euphoria. It was fabulously glitzy and unrepeatable from any other imaginary proms that we had witnessed (or real ones, for that matter). The suit was made to order, but with our suggestions below, you may pull together a look very similar for your next party.
