The Barfi actor Ranbir Kapoor has finally broken his silence on being called a ‘red flag’ and ‘toxic’ given his comments made in the past days. The actor said he is with the people fighting against toxic masculinity, and he is okay with being a ‘face’ in the fight, for he looks at the ‘larger picture’ here. RK fans shared a video from a conversation that the actor had in an interview, probably where he spoke about the issue.

Ranbir Kapoor was quoted saying, “Hey, I’m not on social media so I don’t have the need to deal with it which is a great thing. But I feel negativity is very important especially if you are an artist and if you have some work out there I think both need to exist because then that creates a balance. You know sometimes a lot of things are written about you as an actor, a lot of opinions are made which are not necessarily true and if you take it for a pinch of salt because this image of mine which has been created by the movies or the characters I play or by media is something that I don’t own.” As quoted by NDTV.

Ranbir Kapoor shared his perspective on public opinion, emphasizing his dedication to his craft. He explained that the public’s positive or negative opinions are part and parcel of being in the spotlight. He stressed the importance of giving his work a fair chance and proving himself as an actor, making it clear that audience feedback, be it criticism or praise, is an essential aspect of his journey in the entertainment industry.

Moreover, Kapoor voiced his support for the ongoing battle against toxic masculinity, aligning himself with those who advocate for its eradication. He acknowledged reading articles linking him to the toxic masculinity discourse and expressed his willingness to be associated with this cause. Kapoor emphasized that the fight against toxic masculinity transcends his personal feelings, as it addresses a more significant societal issue that he is committed to championing.

In the world of Bollywood, controversies and the lives of celebrities are often intertwined.
