Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly were the best cricketers to grace the Indian cricket. Both of them did a remarkable contribution to the world of cricket and changed the face of cricket in India for sure. The record-breaking centuries of Tendulkar and the terrific leadership and batting of Sourav Ganguly will always be remembered by cricket lovers. The opening partners have shared some of the best partnerships in cricket. On such partnership was back in 2007 in Nagpur against Australia.

Australia was powered to 317 for eight in the 50 overs and India began their chase in earnest with the experienced duo of Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly determined to make a strong bid for the winning total with contrasting half-centuries. It was Ganguly who was the first to announce his intent, with a sliced drive off Mitchell Johnson, and a glorious extra-cover drive off Brett Lee. Both men played some lovely shots through the covers, and Tendulkar produced one trademark down the ground as India kept up with the asking rate. The duo hit 14 boundaries and 3 sixes in a matter of 24 overs and a partnership of 140 runs. It was a stunning display of cricket from both the legendary cricketers.
