Earlier this year, during WWDC 2022, Apple released the first iOS 16 previews. When iOS 15 was released, the firm disclosed a number of new capabilities that will be available on all compatible iPhone models starting next month. The capability to view network passwords and share them with loved ones was one of the intriguing features that Apple had revealed at the time.
If automatic sharing is not an option, as it is with Apple devices, and you need to share the network password with a member of your family or a friend who uses an Android or Windows device, but you can’t remember it, this feature can be helpful.
How to find your Wi-Fi password on iPhone with iOS 16
Users must meet a few requirements in order to use this feature, including being connected to the Wi-Fi network and having previously connected to it. They must also be close enough to the router for the network to appear in their settings.
First, launch the Settings app.
Step 2: Access the Wi-Fi option in the Settings app.
Step 3: Tap the blue information icon in the Wi-Fi area.
Step 4: After you’ve opened the network details screen for your desired network, you’ll see a variety of options, including the password that is blanked out.
Step 5: Tap the Copy button in the pop-up box that appears if you need to copy the password, and then paste it into the proper app.
