Babita, aka Munmun Dutta, is a fitness nut who believes in working out on a regular basis. The actress, who is Bengali, can’t live without sweets and rice. Munmun, who inspires us to eat healthily and shares her ‘Stay Fit’ credo with us, was reached out to by Daily Bhaskar.com. Let’s have a look at what Munmun has to say… To you, what does fitness entail? “To be honest, I am a huge fan of myself. I have an unhealthy obsession with myself.”

“To be honest, I have a really fast metabolism, which is why I don’t gain a lot of weight. However, it is critical to maintaining our physical fitness and health, and I do not take this for granted. I love to eat nutritious foods, especially home-cooked meals, but let me be honest; I eat a lot. I don’t believe in diets. In fact, for me, dieting consists of eating healthy foods and, most importantly, exercising. It is impossible to stay in shape without working out. So, whenever I go to the gym, I start with a half-hour aerobic routine and then move on to strength and circuit training. I also mix it up with Kick-Boxing and weight training on occasion.

To tone my body, I need to do a lot of weight lifting. I worked out for over an hour and a half. My workout times are not set due to my busy schedule, but I do make sure that I exercise on a regular basis, regardless of how much time it takes. I have to force myself to go to the gym because I don’t want to disrupt my normal routine. A fitness tip: Be joyful, drink plenty of water, eat healthily, avoid junk food, and get plenty of rest.”
