Young and charming actor Sid Makkar, who has entertained fans with his work in web shows like Hacked, 377 AbNormal and State of Siege: 26/11, is back on TV with Sony Entertainment Television’s Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii
The actor is playing the role of Nikhil Sardesai who plays an integral role in protagonist Dr. Deepika’s life. Nikhil Sardesai, is a charming self-made businessman who develops medical devices. A feminist at heart, Nikhil believes in women empowerment and that everybody needs to be treated equally.
In conversation with IWMBuzz.com, Sid spoke about his role in length, working experience with co-stars, and more. Read on:
How was the experience working with the show?
It has been pretty good as the team was great. My director, producer, co-star Aditi. It’s been intense just because we shot a lot in 2 months. When I was first approached for this role, I was apprehensive but when I understood the nitty-gritty of the character, I jumped at the opportunity.
Post your entry, what can audiences expect in the coming episode?
The audience can see the dynamics being changed in Dr. Deepika’s life. Also, the influence that my character will have on her and vice versa. This is going to be interesting for the viewers as my character brings a breath of fresh air to Deepika’s life and the storyline.
How satisfying was the role for you?
I enjoyed playing the role of Nikhil. He was a witty guy and someone who admits when he is wrong. He respects people and is not egoistic. There are a lot of characteristics that are very loveable about him. It was so satisfying that I may have enjoyed playing him for a couple of more months. I shot for two months, I feel I gave it my best shot.
What was the most challenging part of playing the role?
It was not an issue to get into the skin of the character. I say this because I feel Nikhil was an extension of myself. Maybe a brilliant extension of myself. Nikhil was just like me; as we share the same beliefs. The only challenge was keeping up with the pace of the shoot. As I haven’t experienced this for many years.
How was your working experience with the cast?
It was fun. I had most of my scenes with Aditi Gupta. I really enjoyed working with her as she can have a laugh and simultaneously she can also have an intelligent conversation. She was doctor Sinha on set and I enjoyed her performance.
When you look back at your journey in the industry, how do you feel about it?
I was always a planner. I used to have a 3 years plan, a 5 years plan, and so on. However, my journey in this industry has taught me that life doesn’t always work according to plan. When I look back at my journey, I can say it has been beautiful. I have had highs and lows. And my best is yet to come. So I see my journey more in the future instead of my past.

I know Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii has a lot of fans so I request them to welcome me. Give me an equal amount of love and accept me. I am proud to be a part of this show. I hope they enjoy my role and the storyline.
