Television shows and love tales are made brighter with the presence of the popular and wily ‘other women’ who plan and plot to get their man!! This race to get the man is visibly seen in every second TV show between the lover/wife and the other woman who can be the second wife or the unmarried crazy lover. We have had characters like Komolika of Kasautii Zindagii Kay ruining the classic love tale of Anurag and Prerna. We had Dr Mandira coming the way of Mihir and Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. The list to this is endless as we have had many antagonistic characters, ladies who have been the ones targetting the couple and their love.

Malini (Mayuri Deshmukh) from Imlie: Malini was a typical example of a very pure and noble soul turning negative with time. When the show Imlie started, there was not any other character as genuine and straightforward as Malini was. However, soon, tables turned and Malini became a pain in the love story of Imlie and Aditya. Malini was literally a terror in the love life of Imlie (Sumbul Touqeer) and Aditya (Gashmeer Mahajani). She tried everything she could to destroy them totally.
Patralekha (Aishwarya Sharma) from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin: Patralekha was again the first one to fall for the man. However, destiny never chose him for her. It so happened that Virat (Neil Bhatt) went on to marry Sai (Ayesha Singh) and brought her home as his responsibility. This turned Pakhi into the angry lover that she became. Feelings of jealousy, anger and revenge got into the blood of Patralekha. She was the perfect example of the other woman in the leading man’s life. Now, the show has taken a big twist and Patralekha has legally wed her man after huge drama.
Rhea (Tina Philip) from Kumkum Bhagya: The character of Rhea has been instrumental in bringing problems in the lives of Ranbir (Krishna Kaul) and Prachi (Mugdha Chaphekar). She was hellbent on stopping the lovers from uniting. She wanted to go ahead and marry Ranbir and did all that she could to restrict the love of Ranbir and Prachi. Though Ranbir and Prachi got married, the story is now interestingly poised where Ranbir and Rhea have gotten married.
Kavya (Madalsa Sharma) from Anupamaa: Kavya and Vanraj’s secret affair was on for years and Anupamaa (Rupali Ganguly) just could not figure out that her husband was enjoying life outside of his marriage. When Anupamaa got to know of this secret affair between Vanraj (Sudhanshu Pandey) and Kavya, she was totally shattered. Kavya’s presence shook the entire household of Anupamaa, after which it gave way. Kavya went on to marry Vanraj later on.
Mohini (Shweta Gulati) from Main Hoon Aparajita: Akshay (Manav Gohil) and Aparajita (Shweta Tiwari) in the newly launched Zee TV show have been husband and wife for many years, with three daughters born to them. However, Akshay finds interest in the other woman Mohini who he has gone on to marry. This has put the life of Aparajita out of control, but she is struggling to come to terms with the betrayal.
Damini (Sambhabana Mohanty) from Pyar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan: Damini has wanted to marry Mohan ever since the death of Mohan’s first wife Tulsi. She has been playing her mind games inside the house. Though she wants to marry Mohan, she has no deep affection towards his daughter Gungun. On the other hand, the story which is a love story between Radha (Neeharika Roy) and Mohan (Shabir Ahluwalia) has seen the importance gained by Radha in the house which forces Damini to play her dirty games. Now, Damini is on the verge of marrying Mohan, but there is Radha who is destined to marry Mohan.
Malishka (Maera Mishra) from Bhagya Lakshmi: The marital life of Rishi (Rohit Suchanti) and Lakshmi (Aishwrya Khare) has been ruined in the presence of Malishka (Maera Mishra). She wants to control the life of Rishi and has been striving hard to get her man. The story has seen a lot of twists and drama revolving around these three principal characters.
Parineet and Neeti (Anchal Sahu and Tanvi Dogra) from Parineetii: This is one show wherein it is very difficult to know which lady is the other woman in the otherwise complicated relationship. As per the narrative, though Parineet was the one who got married to Rajeev (Ankur Verma), he was always in love with the other girl Neeti. The bestest of friends Pari and Neeti have been linked with the single man Rajeev.
Jasmine (Isha Malviya) from Udaariyaan: Jasmine and Tejo though sisters were totally in contrast with each other. At one point in time, Fateh (Ankit Gupta) was in love with Jasmine. However, for Jasmine her only goal was to marry and settle in Canada. In all this, she lost the love of her life to her sister Tejo. The story ultimately saw Fateh and Tejo finding true love in each other. But Jasmine was always there to instil problems in their lives.
