Imlie begins the episode by phoning Mirchi and asking them to call her Amma. Instead of Mirchi, Aryan says, and Imlie asks him not to. He’s ruining the good time. Imlie tells Aryan to hold Mirchi’s hand while he sits on Imlie’s shoulder. He becomes jittery, and she laughs at him. Aryan receives Jyoti’s text and arranges to meet her. She claims she went to the same pharmacy where Madhav got Imlie’s medicine. Madhav had brought sleeping medications for Imlie, she discovered from the CCTV footage. When Aryan notices this, he is taken aback. Jyoti explains to him that this suggests Madhav took advantage of Imlie during the sting operation; otherwise, how did she become pregnant while Aryan is infertile?
Aryan claims that simply a single doubt can destroy his relationship with Imlie and that he will not take any action until he has strong evidence against Madhav. Aryan departs, and Jyoti declares that while he is unlike all other husbands, he still has no reason to distrust Imlie; otherwise, anyone in his position would have suspected Madhav. However, she is confident in her ability to carry out her strategy. Imlie consumes the food that Mirchi ate, despite Aryan’s warnings that she might become infected. Imlie claims that nothing will happen because Mirchi is a member of her family. According to Aryan, sometimes the people we perceive to be our family may not deserve our love or trust. Imlie inquires as to whether he is upset for any cause. Aryan tries to hide it by claiming that it is due to his workload. She expresses an interest in accompanying him to the office for employee appreciation day.
Madhav’s workload will also be reduced. Aryan claims she doesn’t have to come to work, but she does. Aryan takes the stage and thanks all of the reporters and employees for their hard work and contributions. Imlie interrupts, stating that she wishes to express her gratitude to someone particular. Jyoti believes she will thank Madhav in front of Aryan and that this will make things easier for her. Imlie expresses gratitude for the coffee machine, claiming that without it, they would not have had the energy to work harder at the office, and she hopes that it will give better service in the future. Hearing that, Aryan smiles. Jyoti is irritated. Aryan honours some of his staff, including Imlie, for their outstanding work.
Later, Aryan writes thank you notes to each person individually, but he does not summon Madhav to the stage. Imlie sympathises with him. When Imlie glances at him, Jyoti tells her that if she just talks to him for a minute, he’ll feel better because he hasn’t received a thank you note. Imlie nods and walks around behind him. Jyoti grabs an award from a coworker, claiming that she is capable of doing so because she is Aryan’s friend and that no one can stop her. Nila advises Gudiya to look up how to evict her daughter-in-law from the house on the internet because she is out of ideas. Gudiya looks it up on Aryan’s laptop and comes up with a few suggestions, but Nila claims she has used them on Imlie.
Arpita and Sundar arrive, and Arpita tells Nila that she should be ashamed because she is preparing an attack on Imlie, who is much younger than her. Arpita advises Gudiya to brainstorm ideas about how to be a good daughter-in-law. Nila believes that now is the time to act. Imlie searches the office for Madhav, while Nila Gudiya walks in. Gudiya removes a chair’s wheel, causing Imlie to collide with it and fall. After that, Nila claims, that Aryan will not allow Imlie to enter the office.
When Madhav meets Imlie, she presents him with her prize as a token of appreciation. She claims that while Aryan did not see his hard work, she did, and hence this award comes from her. Madhav refuses to take it from her, but she persuades him otherwise. Madhav picks it up after she drops it by accident. Madhav slips and falls due to the chair’s broken wheel.
Aryan searches for Imlie, but Jyoti claims that Imlie was conversing with Madhav. Jyoti grins as Aryan approaches her. Imlie yells at Madhav as he collapses. Aryan becomes enraged and grabs him by the collar. He inquires as to what he did to Imlie. Imlie is taken aback by this.
