Today’s episode of 17 September 2019 Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai starts as we see Kartik and Niara texting each other and discussing Liza-Akhilesh matter. Vedika comes to Kartik and sees him texting Naira. She misunderstands one message from Naira, but Kartik asks her not to misunderstand and also tells her that he and Naira are friends and the matter was something else.
Vansh and Kairav argue on who will become Ganpati. Naira comes there and tells them that no one has to become Ganpati as Ganpati idol will be brought but they both do have a chance to become Ganpati’s favorite. But., the kids deny this so Niara convinces them on becoming mushak. She gets both of them ready in the mouse costume, Kartik and Vedika bring the idol while Kairav and Vansh dance in their costumes to welcome Bappa.
Everyone including the pandit appreciates the kids and their mushak idea. Kairav asks Vedika why she bought the idol from the shop and why didn’t Naira make it as she used to every year. Everyone requests Naira to make a small idol out of clay for the sake of Kairav’s happiness.
Naira makes the idol and places it near the previous idol as asked by the pandit. Kartik and the kids start with the Aarti. Later, everyone else performs the Aarti. Kairav sees Liza’s massage and Vansh reads it. Akhilesh worries and goes. Kairav goes and drags Liza to see Ganpati and she had texted of being outside the house. Liza starts crying on which Dadi asks her the reason.
Everyone including Surekha asks Liza the reason for crying. Liza hugs Surekha and cries. Akhilesh thinks that Liza must have told everything to Surekha so he comes down and defends himself telling that Liza is a liar and he didn’t have any kind of affair with her. Everyone gets a shocked hearing this. Manish tells Akhilesh that Liza hadn’t told anyone anything yet. Akhilesh himself had revealed the truth to everyone. Akhilesh tries to say something but Manish slaps him. Surekha starts crying Dadi continuously slaps Akhilesh and scolds him for proving her teaching s wrong.
