When it comes to talent and acting potential, Ali Fazal is one actor who has not just made his presence felt in the Indian entertainment industry but also in Hollywood and quite deservingly so. Ali has already been a part of several popular movies and shows but without any iota of doubt, his character of Guddi bhaiya from Mirzapur has to be one of his best.
After literally after a wait of two years, Ali is coming back with Mirzapur 2. When asked about how he has felt in between Mirzapur and Mirzapur 2, he said and we quote,
“Well, it’s been unbelievable as when we started, we never really expected this kind of rage. The fans and audiences have kept us alive in memes and funny videos and we are literally waiting for Mirzapur 2 memes to happen. I wouldn’t lie but I am nervous as we want to match up to the expectation level of the audience but I am also very excited.”
One must note that just around the time Mirzapur 2 trailer released, Ali was criticized for his alleged controversial statements on CAA due to which a section of netizens created a negative trend ‘Boycott Mirzapur’ on Twitter. When asked about these negative trends and how he wants to react to people creating such trends, he added,
“Well, all I feel is Mirzapur 2 is not about just me. There’s the whole team of Amazon, the director, other actors, cast and crew members. Everyone’s effort is involved in this and I don’t think it can boil down to just this. There’s too much of negativity around at times and all I will say is I want to give all trolls trending against Mirzapur 2 on social media a big tight hug. Maybe that will help.”
