Nickyanka aka Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, the two make the perfect couple. The couple is one of the most celebrated amongst the global netizens. And their love story still happens to be one of the intimidating to cherish. But not many know, during the time when Nick reached out to PeeCee, the Baywatch actress was already in a relationship, however, which was already witnessing a bad phase at that point in time.
During the podcast with Dax Shepherd, the Citadel actress said, “When Nick texted me in 2016, slid into my DM and we started chatting, I was at the end of my last long relationship before Nick. I didn’t want to engage as much at the time. I was like 35, he was 25. I put a stop on it in a way because I judged the book by the cover. I said, ‘I wanna settle down. I have been there and done the fun days.’ I was like ready to get serious, not realising my husband was actually a 70-year-old man stuck in a 25-year-old’s body.”
PeeCee added that she and Nick started talking back in 2016, September. She said, Nick sent her a message on Twitter “I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet.” The actress revealed that it took her a day to reply to his texts, because it is her team who handles her social media. Later to that, the duo met at the Oscars after party and also made an appearance together at GALA 2017. And it’s been then the hush hush began all across the globe. The couple went on their first date in 2018 May, and got married in December 2018.
She added, “His brother (Kevin Jonas) loved Quantico. I’m really glad because he told Nick, pointing at me at a billboard, ‘You should call her.’ He (Nick) had a few people being like, ‘Call her’, so he just DMed me and I was like, ‘Why don’t you just text me?’ because my social team will just read these messages. He was like, ‘Ya, ya, ya, you just want to give me your number.’ I kinda did but didn’t want to admit it at that time because I was in a relationship.” As quoted by The Indian Express.
However, PeeCee revealed that she was at the end of her long relationship at that point in time, and it was ‘tumultuous’ for her. She revealed that her friends wanted her to be with Nick instead of the one who she was dating at that time. However, rest is history. The couple is now parents to Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
