Priyanka Chopra Jonas is not just a huge name in the Indian Film Industry but also in Hollywood. Post her marriage with Nick Jonas, she’s become an indispensable part of the American Film Industry and also drama projects like Quantico has helped her earn the tag of a ‘Global Star’.
Be it award ceremonies or the biggest of events on an International platform, Priyanka is seen socializing everywhere with the biggest of Hollywood celebrities. But the bigger question is, has the ‘tag’ come at the cost of her Bollywood career?
Well, there are reasons why we feel so. Due to her International commitments, Priyanka is now hardly seen in India for Indian projects. Add to that, we all know how she left Salman Khan hanging in the middle when she opted out of Bharat at the last moment only for Katrina Kaif to eventually replace her. Her last Indian movie was ‘The Sky Is Pink’ which too was shot way back and had a delayed release. Ever since then, we haven’t heard any producer or director signing Piggie Chops for their film. Another reason for that is the industry now has varied options in the form of Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and others who are favourites of movie lovers.
It’s important to understand that when we say this, we are not taking away anything from Priyanka’s accomplishments as a global artiste. The country is certainly proud of her achievements. Just the bigger question that lies ahead is ‘Have all those accomplishments come at the cost of her Bollywood career? ‘
