Tom Ellis has been playing the titular character of Lucifer in Lucifer since 2016. However, it is reported that he would end his contract after the sixth season. Lucifer shattered the records of other Netflix programs for nearly four years. It is one of Netflix’s most well-received programmes, having become the largest TV series with the most opening weekends.

Even after being dropped by Fox, the show proved that it could stand on its own. In reality, the series’ sixth installment has already begun.

The following season, however, will be its final run. Ellis has stated that he will not return to the show if the creators decide to do more seasons.

On the Kings of Con: The Podcast, the 41-year-old Welsh actor sat down for an interview.

“It’s a remarkable feat that the show has lasted six seasons. It’s been a massive emotional roller coaster, and I’m not sure I want to go on.” He stated, “I know I don’t want to do anything else.”

He went on to say that he had already made that decision because he knew they were coming to an end. He also stated that he was having a terrific time with the Lucifer squad.

As of this writing, no information on Season 5 B’s release has been published.
