In R Madhavan’s Rocketry Shah Rukh Khan plays a journalist who interviews Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation who was falsely accused of espionage. He was subsequently cleared of all charges.
Shah Rukh Khan has confided in close friends that he knows exactly what it feels like to be in Nambi Narayanan’s shoes. Having seen his son Aryan Khan suffer a month of imprisonment and vilification for substance abuse, a charge that eventually proved hollow and fell flat,Shah Rukh feels a deep sense of empathy with Narayanan.
Reveals a close friend, “SRK had agreed to be a part of the Nambi Narayanan biopic long before that whole sordid incident with his son. After the ugly run-in with the law enforcement agency SRK’s affinity to Rocketry has grown.”
One also hears that eventually Shah Rukh wants to write a book on what son and the family went through during that one month.
