It seems the troubles for Anurag Kashyap in the allegation of sexual misconduct leveled by actress Payal Ghosh, are mounting.
On Monday Ms Ghosh will be registering a formal FIR against Kashyap at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai, thereby giving a legal sanctity to her very serious media-divulged allegations.
There has been a slew of Kashyap supporters wondering why Ms Ghosh took so long to speak up against the incident of sexual violation that happened in 2015 and why she chose to go to the media rather than the police.
Ms Ghosh’s lawyer Nitin Satpute has explained that her silence for so long is attributable to the warning she received from well-wishers who prophesied that her career would be over if she went public with her allegations against Kashyap.
As for not taking the law into confidence, Payal Ghosh and her lawyer will pay a visit to the Oshiawara police station on Monday 21 September. The coming week won’t be easy on Kashyap.
Kashyap on his part took to Twitter and called all allegations baseless.
