Green Lantern, the film was a huge canvas and was made in an exorbitant manner. Actor Ryan Reynolds got into the character of Hal Jordan, so very well. However, the film did no gather great response at the box office.
But not many know that Ryan Reynolds was not the original choice for the film. There were many actors who were approached for Green Lantern. But the name of Bradley Cooper is what we hear frequently.
As per a report in Screenrant, which koimoi.com picked up, Green Lantern makers looked at many actors like Justin Timberlake, Jared Leto, and many other even before Ryan Reynolds.
We quote Bradley Cooper’s talk on Green Lantern from the site koimoi.com, “couldn’t not do Christian Bale’s Batman when I was doing the audition…I put a mask on and the director was like, ‘Okay Bradley, be regular and talk.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, got it… ” before breaking into a gravelly rasp. After looking back at his audition clip, he realized he blew it: “I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not getting this!”
