Last year, 2021 was quite an exciting year when it comes to music. There were quite a few tracks that are sure to stick for a while. The years also saw quite a few legends making a comeback! And, as per a Business Today report, these comebacks were huge! Check it out:
1) Adele – 30:
Fans were finally blessed with an album by the British powerhouse, Adele. This album united fans in a shared feeling of loneliness and pain. 30 is her 4th studio offering which came half a decade after her previous album, 25 (2015). It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts and it still holds the top spot.
2) ABBA – Voyage:
Their last live show was in the year 1982, the group, as well as the world, has come a long way since then, This Swedish pop star released this studio offering, Voyage, after 4 long decades. It saw massive commercial success and critical acclaim. It made no.2 on the Billboard 200, the best the band has received yet!
3) Iron Maiden – Senjitsu:
Heavy metal fans had an awesome year with the release of Senjitsu, Iron Maiden’s popular release. It has a funky animated video with biblical themes. It debuted no.3 on the billboard 200 chart.
4) John Mayer:
This singer has been experimenting with different sounds during the pandemic and came back with his 8th studio offering, Sob Rock. The song has an 80’s style mixed in with his own style. It placed no. 1 on the Billboards Top Album Sales chart back in July 2021.
5) Lorde:
The New Zealand singer released her 3rd album back in 2021, Solar Power. It is also her third consecutive album to top Billboard’s Alternative albums.
