Sachin Tendulkar, an Indian cricket great, has confessed that he has yet to watch his son Arjun Tendulkar play. Arjun, a 22-year-old fast bowler, has competed in various domestic competitions and put in some impressive results. However, Master Blaster acknowledged in an interview that he never watches his kid play.

Sachin stated in an interview with Graham Bensinger on a YouTube channel that he is not going to watch Arjun play because he wants his kid to be able to fall in love with the game without feeling pressured. The veteran athlete also claimed that there have been times when he has gone to watch his kid play but no one knows.

I want Arjun to be able to fall in love with cricket at his own pace: Sachin Tendulkar.

“When fathers and mothers watch their children play, they become anxious, which is why I don’t watch Arjun play because I want him to have the freedom to fall in love with cricket – to stay focused on what he wants to accomplish, so I don’t watch him. He must maintain his concentration on the game. As though I didn’t want anyone looking at me. Even if I go to his games and watch them, I’m still hiding somewhere.” Tendulkar remarked in a YouTube video, “He doesn’t know I’m there, and nobody knows, neither does his coach, nor anyone else.”
