Star Plus is all set to release a new show titled Pandya Store. The serial is going to be the Hindi remake of the hit Tamil show, Pandian Store that aired on Star Vijay.

The serial will have Kinshuk Mahajan playing the lead character of Gautam Pandya who owns the Pandya Store. He handles the shop and lives in a joint family with his mother, three younger brothers, and his newly-wedded wife Dhara, played by Shiny Doshi.

Shiny is well-known for portraying the roles of Kusum Desai in Saraswatichandra, Sarojini Singh in Sarojini, Mahi Sengupta in Jamai Raja, among others.

In conversation with IWMBuzz.com, the actress speaks about her new show and more. Read on:

How excited are you to be a part of Pandya Store and what prompted you to take up this show?

For me, as an actor, the content of the show is very important and then the character. I said yes to Pandya Store for its content and also, the character of Dhara is very well-defined. I also feel there are a lot of layers and variations to the role and overall these things attracted me to the show.

What makes the serial so unique from others?

To be very honest, I don’t like to compare shows because every show has a unique storyline and actors. I won’t say that it is a very different daily soap but it is a normal show based in Gujarat. I feel audiences will love it.

Is there any similarity between your character and you in real life?

There are few similarities. I am glam in real life whereas Dhara is a simple girl. She is somebody who believes in simplicity. One common factor between us is that we both are givers and we believe in loving everyone, helping others.

How is your experience working with your co-star?

Kinshuk Mahajan is an amazing person and a good actor. It is really nice to have people who are hard-working around you as the vibe is always positive. Kinshuk is a dedicated and grounded person.

How have you evolved as an actor in your journey so far?

When I see my previous shows or sequences I always believe that I can do better. I watch a lot of shows that inspire me. I polish my skills by watching a few of my favourite actors. I have evolved with each show as an actor and as a human being and every daily gives me a new experience.

Finally, your message to your fans…

I am thankful and grateful to my fans who have appreciated my work and showered love on me. I am a little weak when it comes to connecting with my fans. I will try to connect more with them via live chats. I would want audiences to love my new character Dhara and show Pandya Store.
