Pallavi Mukherjee the talented young actress has had a fabulous growth curve when it comes to her character in Barrister Babu the Colors show. The popular Shashi Sumeet Productions show which has raised a lot of social issues had the character of Sampoorna, played by Pallavi facing a lot of it and even overcoming it in her own way.

As for Sampoorna, she has grown in stature from being a silent sufferer to a more confident lady, all set to trounce the Roy Choudhary family with her might and intelligence.

In a candid chat with IWMBuzz.com, Pallavi got into the finer nuances of her character, conveying that she is having a fabulous journey being part of Barrister Babu. “When I started doing the show, I always knew the broad story of my character getting married into the Roy Choudhary household. But I never knew that Sampoorna would ever turn negative. Even when I got married in the plot, I was not aware of the character turning negative.”

Pallavi bonds a lot with Aurra Bhatnagar on the set. “We have always been together, and bond well. But nowadays, after my character has gotten negative, I indulge in a lot more of the monologues and dialogues wherein there is a need to be in the character as the negative mind. Aurra and I had this habit of being together and engaging each other once the cut is called for. But now, since I need to be in the character for the rest of my dialogues to go well, I restrain from talking to her. Aurra used to wonder why I do this. But she now knows very well that we need to be in the character (smiles).”

Tell her that she excels in every single expression as the main negative, and Pallavi states, “I am very happy with the way my character is growing. Viewers hate Sampoorna, but they love her too. I get showered with love and hatred equally and I love it coming. Viewers used to love and be sympathetic towards the earlier innocent Sampoorna. The manner in which my character graph has been established has been really strong.”

Pallavi also bonds well with Rishi Khurana and Pravisht Mishra. “Even now, we have this routine of working out together at the gym. Since I bond so very well with them, it is at times difficult to play the baddie onscreen with the same people (smiles).”

Pallavi confides in us that she is happy when she is working. “Now that we are shooting outside home, I really miss my mom. But then, work always keeps me happy. It is my first love. But I always know that I will go back home once we are back in Mumbai. Also, the blessed aspect is that we are working even in these tough times. Lockdown has been announced in a lot of places. If I rewind my time to the last year, I remember that we were all at home without work. So I am happy that I am working now.”

Pallavi simply loves to be in the getup of the typical Bengali lady. “I love this look of mine. I get into the mood of Sampoorna automatically, when I am in the getup. Having said this, there are no similarities at all when you talk about me in real life and Sampoorna.”

As a message to her fans, Pallavi who has earlier been part of the ALTBalaji series Class of 2020 says, “The entry of Thakumaa has happened. There is a very good plot coming and we are hoping that our numbers increase.”

Best of luck Pallavi!!
