Harsh Rajput the talented young actor who is presently playing the lead role in Colors’ newly launched show Pishachini, is happy and optimistic as he celebrates India’s 75th Independence.

Harsh names the freedom fighter who has inspired him a lot, saying, “I have been inspired by Mahatma Gandhiji. How he achieved freedom for us, and the whole path of non-violence has always inspired me. Violence is not always the key. I feel everything can be achieved by just talking.”

Ask him about the correlation of Independence in day-to-day life for him, and Harsh states, “There is nothing more special than ‘freedom’. If I can move freely, and do whatever I want to do, take the day as I want, that’s the biggest correlation between freedom and independence for me.”

In the areas where he thinks we as individuals can strive hard to make the place that we live in better, the actor speaks up, “When we all start to do our own work and stop poking into each other’s lives, this world will be a better place to live in. Also, I feel that it is not necessary to always comment or put a statement on each and everything that happens in the world. If we live our own lives, and try to better ourselves, we will make the place we live in better.”

Lastly, on the inspiring slogan that he follows that is related to freedom and independence of thoughts, Harsh states that he has two such slogans in mind. “One is from Epictetus which says, “Is freedom anything else than the right to live as we wish? Nothing else.” And the other one is by Nelson Mandela which says, “For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.”

Here’s wishing Harsh and all our readers a very Happy Independence Day!!
