Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon had many seasons, but the original was magic – Sana Maqbool Khan

Sana has been around for years, having done Hindi TV and south films. Her well-known tube stuff has been Ishaan: Sapno Ko Awaaz De, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Arjun etc. We caught up with Sana fora quick chat, excerpts.

What were you up to of late?

I always had this thing; once Vish is over I will holiday till New Year! Things were OK till early 2020 with TV, films and TVC auditions happening. My one commercial to be shot in Bali got cancelled due to Coronavirus breakdown! Now let’s see what’s in store for me! I was unaware of how big the pandemic would turn out to be (we have been on a worldwide lockdown since March). I am just praying for things to return to normal. I miss enjoying both work and life.”

What is your quarantine mantra?

Day is the new night! But yeah I am enjoying doing nothing! Sleep patterns have changed, walking, running, and home workout is the new gym. I never thought I would ever cook, or do household chores, but here I’m doing all that and more. As per my mom, this lockdown is making independent, young and unmarried gals like me, ready for marriage! It’s like a whole package.

How would you evaluate your decade long acting journey?

So far, so good! I have always chosen quality over quantity

Your take on Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon franchise? (She had acted in Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani season)

.Though IPPKND has had several seasons over the years; original is original. Its cast, storyline, everything had magic. I would love to be part of any extension of the same if it ever happens.
