B.R. Chopra’s evergreen epic presentation Mahabharat has been on the top ever since the re-run trend has been on during the lockdown phase.
Ramanand Sagar’s epic saga Ramayan has in fact broken all records, even the Game of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory records.
The two epic shows are mammoth as a lot of people have grown up watching the shows in the ’90s. And for the kids growing up now, this is an easy education into knowing the two big epics of our country.
And the result was in front of us when on 16 April Ramayan hit a huge 7.7 crore viewers.
Now the shows are being aired on major GECs. Ramayan airs on Star Plus while Mahabharat is on air on Colors.
And this has indeed come as a blessing in disguise for all those who are bored at home, especially in the evenings when they are so used to getting out of home, enjoying the outside world.
