The episode of Anupamaa starts with Vanraj asking Advait if he is wrong for not wanting to leave Anupamaa. Advait tells him that he should also think about what Anupamaa wants. When he decided to leave her, he didn’t ask Anupamaa what she wants. He tells Vanraj that even after divorce they can be together as friends. Vanraj says he wants to be more than friends. Advait tells him he has to end the old story and create a new one. Anupamaa goes to Kavya with Samar and Nandini’s shagun and invites her. Kavya asks this should be given to Nandini’s parents. Anupamaa says that they are happy with the engagement but can’t make it here, so she is giving it to her being Nandini’s mausi. Kavya says she always is a member of other people’s happiness, she doesn’t know when her happiness will come. Anupamaa says soon. Kavya thinks even after knowing the divorce date Anupamaa is not reacting, she has to do something now.
The next morning the whole family is preparing for pooja. Baa makes Anupamaa and Vanraj sit together. Anupamaa says they will sit together as parents. Bapuji is on a video call to watch the ritual. Anupamaa performs the mirror ritual and asks Samar and Nandini to look at each other in the mirror. Kinjal and Dolly enter, the whole family gets happy seeing them and hug them. Kinjal sees Anupamaa and gets emotional. Anupamaa stops her and says with Samar and Nandini’s engagement there will only be happiness. Kinjal touches Baa’s feet and takes blessing. Baa starts the next ritual. She tells Samar and Nandini to hold the coconut in their hand and promise to support and forgive each other. Baa then tells them to tie the coconut in a red cloth. She then tells Anupamaa and Vanraj to go tie the coconut to a nearby tree.
Kavya sees Anupamaa and Vanraj together and gets jealous. She thinks they haven’t informed the family about the divorce yet, so she has to do something. Vanraj and Anupamaa perform rituals together. They give gifts and feed sweets to each other. Baa says the pooja is over now; they should start the engagement. Kavya comes and says this engagement cannot take place. Baa asks why she always has to ruin their function. Nandini says Anupamaa didn’t invite her to spoil the engagement. Kavya says it’s harsh but it’s true. She walks towards Anupamaa and Vanraj and performs their nazar. She then performs her nazar and throws stuff in the havan fire. She says she performed nazar so that Anupamaa and Vanraj’s divorce should take place without any obstacles tomorrow.
