Actress Shweta Tripathi, who rose to fame with Mirzapur, was recently seen in Voot Select’s new original ‘The Gone Game’ produced by Bodhitree Multimedia.

The series is a gripping thriller that’s innovatively shot entirely from the confines of the artists’ homes.

Talking about her character in the series, Shweta says, “I am essaying the role of Amara Gujral who is trying to uncover the mystery of her brother’s death during COVID time. She is a simple girl and wants to make the earth a better place, not only for human beings but also for the environment and animals.”

What made you say yes to the project? She adds, “This was the first time that I selected a thriller show. When I heard about the concept and story, I was hooked. Whenever I choose my script, I always think that would this script excite me as a viewer and the answer for this script was yes so it was a no brainer for me. While taking up a project, for me few things are very important which are first who the director is, second the script and third co-actors because there is so much that you learn from them. I am glad I picked this project. This is the one thing that the lockdown gave me.”
