My journey of going bold with Maaya 3 has been smooth and comfortable: Cheshta Bhagat

Cheshta Bhagat the beautiful actress who rose to fame with Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi is upbeat and excited about her big series for the digital medium, Maaya 3.

Maaya 3 the Vikram Bhatt series (loneranger Productions) directed by Krishna Bhatt talks about forbidden love and its third season will see the battle of love being played between a father, his lady love and the son who also loves the girl.

The series will stream on Jio Cinema from 14 September.

In a candid talk with Cheshta Bhagat who plays the lead girl Sonica Sangha, we bring to our readers the beautiful yet intriguing plot of Maaya 3.

Says Cheshta who has been part of Navya, The Buddy Project, Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara etc says, “This is the first time in my career that I have picked up a work that is quite bold in nature. It was a huge challenge for me to get into the skin of Sonica Sangha. Sonica is a star, a successful Bollywood actress. She is a complex girl to tell you. She has everything that she needs, but she has not seen happiness in her life. There is something that eludes her, and is not happy from inside.”

Cheshta is paired with senior actor Mukul Dev and Mohit Malhotra in the series.

To have the intensity, pain and the feeling of romance in the character of Sonica, Cheshta kept herself in the mood and feel of her character for more than a month. “I forgot myself, and lived as Sonica for the entire duration of shoot. I wanted to hold on to the mood of the character so that it helps me in my performance. I used to feel the emotions in my sequences and it was an enjoyable phase.”

Praising Krishna Bhatt as Director, Cheshta states, “Krishna as Director is superb. She helped me a lot in making me comfortable, especially in the scenes where I had to go bold. When I was shooting my bold scene for the first time, I was very nervous and conscious about everything around me. My body was literally shivering. But Krishna sat with me and explained the scene. I have to tell you that my journey going bold was very smooth and comfortable.”

Talking about the concept of Maaya the cult series, Cheshta states, “Maaya has become a brand in itself and is known for its out-of-the-box bold love themes. The earlier two seasons have been really good. This season is a mixture of everything; it has the love and s*x element along with the emotions that go on with it.”

Best of luck, Cheshta!!
