Barun Sobti has his game in the romantic genre of series and now he is all set to impress his audience with his next project title Asura.

This web show is original series announced by Voot and Barun Sobti will be playing a lead role in this psychological thriller which will be premiered soon.

As admitted by Varun, he feels very lucky to have the opportunity to play the lead in this series which has a very powerful script.

As he is not supposed to talk about the series much, he can only tell that the show would be about a serial killer and he would be portraying Quantico, FBI agent and also Dhananjay former protege.  Together they want to grab this serial killer. There is like a cat and the mouse chase in the series. According to him, this is one of the most intelligently written scripts which he had come across in his career span that clubs the thrill and the reality together.

While announcing the launch, the maker of the show brought forward another Bollywood’s star name to limelight besides Barun Jha in the series who is Arshad Warsi.

Varun is not at all insecure by the announcement of his co-actor because this 34-year-old hero has always enjoyed the image of a romantic hero. Being an experimentalist by nature, his career has moved atta desirable face and he is very thankful and glad about the same.

Arshad Warsi would be making his debut in web series with this series Asura. This is mystical mythology of Varanasi based psychological thriller. And he would be playing the role of Dhananjay Rajpoot, a forensic expert.

According to Arshad, this is hardcore Indian script which is not a rip-off of a Hollywood movie or script borrowed from any book. It is purely about Kali and Kalki and the belief of a pandit.

The series is about to explode the world of forensic science.
