Anushka Sharma recently shared snaps of delicious Chole Bhature on her Instagram account while in Delhi. So check out the finger-licking recipe of the same.

Ingredients: Two cups soaked overnight chickpeas, chopped onion, tomato puree, coriander powder, cloves garlic, turmeric, chana masala powder, cumin, ginger, onion paste, salt as required, garam masala powder, and red chilli powder.

For Dough: All-purpose flour, yogurt (curd), refined oil as required, salt as required, wheat flour, and chopped coriander leaves for garnishing.

Procedure: First, take the soaked chickpeas and pressure cook on high flame along with salt to taste and one tea bag, or you can also add 2 to 3 tea leaves in a cotton cloth and cook the chickpeas for 15 to 20 minutes. (The tea leaves will change the color of the chickpeas.)

In the next step, take a pan, put it on a medium flame, and heat the oil. Add onions and saute till it turns golden brown, and then add chopped garlic, ginger, and onion paste. Saute all the ingredients together for a few minutes until the raw smell of it goes away, and then add tomato paste.

After sauteing till the oil separates, add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and chana masala. And then cook this puree for the next two minutes with chole or chickpeas. After tasting the salt, cook the chole for a few more minutes. And then your chole is done. Garnish the chole with chopped onions and coriander leaves.

For Bhature, combine all-purpose flour or maida and wheat flour in a dough. Now add salt and oil to it. Also, add yogurt and mix them and knead the dough with a kitchen towel and allow it to rise.

Now lastly, put a kadhai on high flame; meanwhile, take equal quantities of dough and roll it into a big size puris, and deep fry the puris until it turns light brown. Finally, serve the delicious Chole Bhature with chopped onions and lemon and enjoy the tasty meal.
